With well-known calendaring object semantics, calendar clients can use more visual aids such as icons.

Overview

The inclusion of object typing via the CONCEPT property, and additional metadata via the LINK and STRUCTURED-DATA properties, means icons and emoticons can be used in the calendar view to aid with decluttering and conveying more information.

Examples of icons may include:
